Common Let's Encrypt problems on Windows Server

Let's Encrypt errors on Windows Server: HTTP-01, DNS, permissions, IIS bindings and renewals.

HTTP-01 requires the domain to point to the right server and IIS to serve validation files correctly.

Issues often come from proxies, wrong bindings, missing SNI, certificate store permissions or scheduled tasks that do not run.

After renewal, verify not only the certificate date but the real HTTPS response, chain and service using the certificate.
